Northalsted Market Days is back for another massive two-day event in Boystown. All weekend long, from August 10-11, you are invited to join hundreds of thousands of festival-goers in attendance for this colorful spectacle. Known across Chicago as the biggest neighborhood street fest to hit the summer, Northalsted Market Days‘ 39th year is bound to be fire.
Running along North Halsted Street between Belmont and Addison, this seemingly small strip of road gets hella packed with people of all ages, eager to catch the drinks, food, and entertainment that Market Days has to offer. Five stages are scattered along the way, featuring an eclectic variety of dancers, drag queens, and DJs, to which you can cheer and jam out while you chow down on bites from hundreds of food vendors and sip on your ice-cold Bud Light. Featured performers include Daya, Icona Pop, Sheila E., Macy Gray, and more across the weekend, which is sure to make this year’s Market Days one for the books.
With the ultimate goal of celebrating Boystown and the people of all genders and sexualities who live there, Northalsted Market Days does a phenomenal job at making everyone who frequents this festival feel welcome. This family-friendly event is free to the public with a suggested donation of $10 to keep making the festival a reality.
