EXPO Chicago Returns to Navy Pier This September

Navy Pier will soon transform into a hub for art lovers everywhere. EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, takes over Festival Hall at Navy Pier this month from September 19 – 22. 

This week filled with a collection of modern and contemporary art begins September 19 with Vernissage, an annual benefit for the Museum of Contemporary Art presented by the MCA Women’s Board.

This year’s EXPO CHICAGO is comprised of renowned national and international galleries and special exhibitions.

Attendees to EXPO CHICAGO do more than just peruse work from participating galleries. The immersive art experience includes a variety of programs, free with the purchase of a ticket. 

One major feature of the annual exposition is the /Dialogues panel series. This series invites artists, curators, designers, and arts professionals to discuss current issues in the world of art.

In addition, IN/SITU displays large-scale sculptures and works specific to the venue. This year’s showcase will include a variety of works, some suspended from the vaulted ceilings, all curated by Jacob Fabricius. Participating artists come from a variety of art hubs across the globe. EXPO VIDEO, EXPO SOUND, and many more will ensure an unforgettable weekend full of artistic inspiration.
