Good news, northsiders – a version of Chicago’s beloved Christkindlmarket will be popping up outside of Wrigley in 2017!
In addition to locations in Daley Plaza and Naperville, the annual German Christmas market announced yesterday that it will be heading to the Park at Wrigley – the plaza and green event space adjacent to Wrigley Field.
Chritskindlmarket purists need not fear, the Lakeview installment of this holiday season favorite will feature many of the same booths, vendors and, yes, mugs, as the downtown edition as well as an enormous 8,000 square-foot ice rink. Just try and contain your excitement.
The market itself is set to open on November 24th and is expected to run through December 31st, with the skating rink continuing well into February, should the weather permit.
