New Year, New Brew! Who said resolutions need to involve a gym? Get ready to flex your brewery muscles and make a clean sweep of the food trucks at The Chicago Ale Fest. Arriving Saturday, January 11th and taking place in Navy Pier’s Aon Grand Ballroom, this fest brings folks together with a trifecta combination: hops, sustenance, and camaraderie.
Boasting 100+ brews from various local, Midwest, and coast-to-coast breweries, the Chicago Ale Fest is sure to be a hoppy hit for any beer connoisseur. And get ready to fangirl hard once you’ve seen the list of breweries. From well-known Chicago staples, such as Half Acre, Whiner Beer Company, and Right Bee Cider, to Midwest marvels, such as 3 Floyds, Old Nation Brewing Company, and Virtue Cider, you’re sure to find a new brew for the new year! There are also a variety of local suburb breweries joining the list such as Pollyanna Brewing Company, Black Horizon, and Banging Gavel Brews.

Feeling hungry? Get to a food truck! The festival thought of everything: delightful doughnuts from Beavers, pork-centric specials from Naperville’s The Roaming Hog, and classic sausage home-runs from Chicago’s very own Sausage Fest.
While your brew is pouring and your bratwurst is roasting, be sure to explore the festival’s lineup of activities. Who knows? Maybe they will inspire some resolutions for the new decade. For one, you can practice your sun salutation at the yoga sessions or even get your groove on with live music. Form a team and play some good ol’ fashioned games while you’re at it (fancy some Jenga Giant, do you?)!
The Chicago Ale Fest is right around the corner and it’s the perfect wonderland for hops and barley!
