A Baby Trump Balloon Will Float Over Chicago for March to the Polls

Donald Trump is making a special visit to Chicago during the Women’s March to the Polls this October — in the form of a giant balloon baby.

Women’s March Chicago will host their next rally at Grant Park on Saturday, October 13 for a March to the Polls parade, intended to empower women and encourage them to vote. Their guest of honor? The president’s truest self: a furious, orange baby with a smartphone in hand.

The massive 20-foot tall, pissed-off baby first made an appearance over Parliament Square when protestors rallied against Trump’s arrival to London this summer. New Jersey activist Jim Girvan loved the blimp so much that he started a GoFundMe campaign. In just two months, he raised almost $24,000, enough to purchase six of these baby Trump balloons and fly them all around the United States at political parades and protests. And finally, that big ol’ angry baby is headed our way.

This diapered depiction of our president states the obvious, but we’ll let you make those implications on your own. You can expect to see the baby Trump balloon take flight in Chicago around 9 am when the rally begins and remain tethered to the ground in Grant Park while you listen to inspiring speakers and live music. The event will continue as protestors march toward Federal Plaza to engage in early voting and registration for the 2018 midterm elections.

The goal of the march is to encourage new voter turnout as a political response to the ongoing assault on women’s rights. Since early voting is open now, organizers hope that a literal march to the polls will create a powerful, loud statement about women’s intentions to make significant changes.
