Yes We Cann: A Cannabis Pop-Up opens its doors to the public at 4:20 pm on Friday, October 5th.
And you just know it’s gonna be lit.
Logan Square’s premier pop-up proprietors (say that five times fast), Emporium, certainly know how to throw a party. From a Tommy Wiseau approved haunt to a much-loved – and Netflix admonished –Stranger Things lounge, they’ve got the themed-bar game on lock.
But come Friday night, Emporium’s Milwaukee Ave location is cooking up a whole new pot of pop-up gold.
Conveniently located next door to MOCA Modern Cannabis – a medical marijuana dispensary serving those with Illinois medical cannabis cards – Emporium’s latest venture is putting on a series of incredibly fortunate events centered in and around Illinois ~budding~ weed industry. Topics presented throughout the weekend will include but are not limited to, instructions from MOCA on how to register for an Illinois medical cannabis card, a panel on the uses of cannabis whilst fighting the opioid epidemic, and, of course, a discussion of marijuana-infused food.
The pop-up, which will run through Sunday, October 7th, will also feature CBD laced cocktails starting at 8 pm each night. The menu will include fun sips like the ‘Pineapple Express,’ which takes your classic daiquiri and infuses it with Pineapple Express terpene syrup. Terpene and CBD, for those you don’t know, are non-psychoactive and completely legal parts of the cannabis plant, so drink up.
