Where to Shop Local Austin Vintage Markets This Weekend

Surprising absolutely no one, Austin has amassed quite the community of hipsters, hoards of young people drawn to the appeal of vintage wear. Whether for environmental justice, economical habits, or a display of individualism, we really do love our second-hand stores, so much so that retro and vintage fashion could easily be called a staple of Austin culture. While there are tons of Austin vintage stores you can shop online, it’s so much more fun to find local vendors at one of the many pop-up markets around town.

Frida Friday ATX

Possibly the most popular vintage pop-up series in Austin, Frida Friday ATX celebrates intersectional feminism by centering women artists and entrepreneurs of color. Hosting several markets per month at places like Meanwhile Brewing and Revival Coffee, Friday Friday brings you the hottest DJs, the best drinks, and even creative themes.

Anytime Austin Market

A brand new vintage pop-up series that started this year, Anytime Austin Market has held its last two marts at Revival Coffee in East Austin and seem to be happening once a month. Find handmade goods, one-of-a-kind custom pieces, upcycled vintage, and more while enjoying free drinks, live DJs, and delicious coffee.

East Side Pop-up

The brilliant event planners behind pop-up series like Shop Small Saturdaze and Sunday Brunch with live music rotate venues every single week to bring their vintage markets across the east side. You’ve seen them at Far Out Lounge, Armadillo Den, Kinda Tropical, and Cute Nail Studio—there’s no telling where you’ll find them next!

craftHER Market

A community marketplace that give a physical space for women and nonbinary vendors to sell their art, craft goods, and upcycled vintage, craftHER Market typically hosts two major events every year, the next one being on April 30th. Until then, though, they’re taking over the Boss Babes ATX HQ with a pop-up vintage market called Something Good Sundays for Women’s History Month from March 14 – April 11.

SoCo Makers & Vintage Market

Now fixed on South Congress & Elizabeth Friday – Sunday every weekend, SoCo Makers & Vintage Market brings a small group of local vendors and vintage aesthetes together in front of the Hey Cupcake! truck.

Sunday Market

Focusing on a totally cool southwest theme, Sunday Market brings local vintage vendors together at venues like Native Hostel, Cosmic Coffee, and Halcyon several times a month.

Austin Flea Market

The original flea market in Austin happens every single weekend at tons of different locations all over town. Discover treasures you won’t find anywhere else from dozens of local vendors. This very well may be the biggest outdoor vintage market in Austin.
