Austin Food & Wine Festival Returns to Auditorium Shores This November

Tickets are now on sale for the eleventh annual Austin Food & Wine Festival which takes place November 4-6, 2022. Austin Food & Wine Festival is presented by FOOD & WINE Magazine and C3 Presents and is one of Texas’ most beloved food festivals. The three-day celebration of food, wine and spirits will welcome top tier talent from all over the country. Tickets are now on sale.

The festival will feature chefs, restaurants and wine & spirits experts over three days at Auditorium Shores. Festival highlights include the new Wurst Weekend Kickoff event; the fan-favorite Rock Your Taco competition; the Fire Pit featuring bites hot off the flames; engaging cooking demonstrations + conversations; samples of signature dishes from local chefs and restaurants; dynamic wine, beer & cocktail tastings; live music and more.

Showcasing a dynamic roster of local, regional and national chefs throughout the weekend, attendees can sample signature dishes from top chefs around the country. See the lineup below for events and stay tuned for additional announcements.

WURST WEEKEND KICK-OFF

Join Chef Tim Love (Lonesome Dove) and Jesse Herman (Koko’s) to kick-off the weekend at Auditorium Shores on Friday evening. Enjoy a Bavarian-themed menu of sausage, brats, pork, and more cooked over a live fire. Featuring regional wines and beers, the best (wurst) way to kick off the weekend. 

ROCK YOUR TACO

Rock Your Taco, Saturday evening’s signature tasting event, will take place this year at Auditorium Shores. Chefs will square off against one another to create the ultimate taco, as deemed by a People’s Choice award. FIRE PIT

The Fire Pit portion of the festival features bites hot off the flames and the chance to interact with pitmasters and chefs cooking over live fire. Enjoy exceptional BBQ and other dishes cooked over open flame and get first-hand advice from the pros. Chefs Michael Fojtasek with guests Sara Kramer & Sarah Hymanson of Kismet 

Michael Fojtasek and Maie Day are hosting Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson of Los Angeles restaurant, Kismet, for a legendary four course grill-a-thon. The menu will bring together the endlessly lauded flavors and techniques of Kismet and Kismet Rotisserie with the same from tradition-busting chophouse party Maie Day. Liberal portions, a welcome drink, and all the good vibes included. Tickets are $150 per person and seatings are available from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tickets are available here.

Chefs Tavel Bristol-Joseph and special guest Chef Maneet Chauhan

Join Austin Food & Wine and Chefs Tavel Bristol-Joseph and Maneet Chauhan at Canje on November 4th for a special tasting menu showcasing Indian influence in Caribbean cuisine. Welcome Cocktail and gratuity included in ticket price; additional beverages available for purchase. Saturday, November 5th

Chef Fermín Nunez debuts Weekend Lunch at Este 

The team behind Este, the new Coastal Mexican restaurant located on the East side, is excited to debut lunch on Austin Food & Wine Festival weekend. Featuring a pre-fixe seafood focused menu, tickets are $115 per person and include a welcome cocktail. Seatings are available 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets are available here.

MEET THE MAKER

An Introduction to Mezcal with Dos Hombres Mezcal Founders Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul

This tasting session will explore how founders and longtime friends Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul bring Dos Hombres Mezcal to life. Learn the story of how they serendipitously met third-generation master mezcalero, Gregorio Velasco, while traveling through Oaxaca, and about the traditional methods he uses to make Dos Hombres so special. The class will include a souvenir cocktail by mixologist Paul Ramon, paired to a scallop aguachile by Chef Alex Reyes. The tasting session will be held in the “Meet the Maker” tent Saturday, November 5 at 3:45pm.
