7 Ghost Kitchens in Austin With Scary Good Eats

One of the latest trends in restaurants doesn’t really include restaurants at all — the ghost kitchen. These kitchens are essentially massive food prep spaces that produce food from several different restaurants. Their business models are largely digital, focusing mostly on takeout and delivery services, though you’ll see some with food trucks. There are a few major prep spaces around Austin, each with loads of food choices, but these are our current favorite ghost kitchens in Austin.

Wayside

606 Maiden Ln, Austin, TX 78705

Wayside promises the waffles you’ve always wanted, and they really have delivered. They have waffle breakfast sandwiches, waffle burgers, waffles with all kinds of toppings — it’s pretty awesome. You can find their food truck at two bars in Austin (the Backlot and the Lucky Duck), but originally they partnered with local ghost kitchen: Manon’s Shared Kitchen.

Saperlipopette

75 Rainey St, Austin, TX 78701

Also partnered with Manon’s Shared Kitchen, Saperlipopette is a French food truck serving savory and sweet crêpes, plus coffee. The man behind the magic — Jean-Baptiste — can be found at the food truck location telling stories and making crêpes, but you can also order delivery.

Brooklyn Breakfast Shop

7800 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745

Brooklyn Breakfast Shop makes its home at Prep ATX, though you can venture out to Thicket Food Park and visit their trailer. However, this isn’t your typical grab-and-go breakfast, you’ll want to have plenty of time to sit down and enjoy their incredible creations whether that’s delivered to your home, or out and about.

Mama Noy’s Kitchen

8309 Research Blvd Ste B, Austin, TX 78758

Mama Noy’s is currently online only, and has some of the best Laotian food we’ve ever had! It’s homey, full of flavor, and there are some great fusion dishes to enjoy as well. You can either pick-up or have it delivered, and chow down.

Q Bolá Cuba

8309 Research Blvd Ste B, Austin, TX 78758

Ever had authentic Cuban food? We found Q Bolá, a must-try, with bright food, packed with flavor and just plain good. There is a food truck location as well as catering through a ghost kitchen space.

Dog Haus

8023 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78723

Originally based in California, Dog Haus brings hot dogs to a whole other level. Choose from their house creations or build your own hot dog masterpiece, pick up your order at Kitchen United Mix, and enjoy it right in the comfort of your own home!

Flavortown

3612 Tudor Boulevard Austin, TX 78759

You read that right, Guy Fieri’s very own Flavortown has finally come to Austin — through a ghost kitchen. At this delivery-only restaurant, you’ll be able to enjoy some of the tastiest burgers and wings around. Perfect for game days, or just because!
