The outdoor space beats other Austin patios and bars, plus, it has an expansive beer garden and a covered pavilion for when that Texas heat is in high gear this spring. Cork & Barrel is dog-friendly and is open for dining Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Modeled after the family ranch, the patio has several picnic-style tables, a booth area, and so many fairy lights giving the place an almost magical feel. They have delicious small bites, lots of burgers, house craft cocktails, and of course – beer and wine. It’s the perfect place for a larger gathering of friends and family.

North Italia

If you’re looking for delicious, elegant Italian food — as if that doesn’t describe all Italian food already — North is the place to go. They’ve got a wide variety of classic Italian dishes and pizzas with the thinnest, crispiest crusts around. Their patio is open and in the perfect location to get some nice sun, but not too much — they also have umbrellas to provide shade if needed.

Hula Hut’s patio is in fact a pier. Right on Lake Austin, you’ll get to enjoy some amazing waterfront views at this restaurant and bar. If you’re out on a boat and feeling peckish, you can even park your boat on the dock and come inside for some of their Polynesian-inspired Tex-Mex and a few tropical cocktails. Eating here is like being on a tropical island, and while the daytime views are wonderful, we’d recommend coming at night.
Sway
