You Need to See Chicago SummerDance, Period.

Spin, swing & slide at Chicago SummerDance, an annual celebration of our combined dance talents (or lack thereof).

If you’re anything like me, then you have some pretty terrible rhythm. That’s actually just fine because each and every day of SummerDance offers free, hour-long dance classes for poor souls like us. Here are a few more notable features:

The Entertainment

What’s more, you’ll get to dance to sounds of 33 live bands and DJs for free in the restored 4,900 square-foot, 100% recycled, open air dance floor.

The Dancing

Jazz, Mambo, Samba, Salsa, Retro, Ballroom, Country Line Dancing, you name it— it’s here. Seriously, even Cajun, Merengue, and Spanish Ska.

The Parking

Best Garage, Interpark’s Wabash Randolph, located on (you guessed it) Wabash and Randolph.

The Refreshments

Food and beverages are available for purchase. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited, but that won’t prevent you from buying any while you’re there. Plus, Grant Park is located near more restaurants than I can count.
