About The National Hellenic Museum
The National Hellenic Museum first opened its doors in 1983 as the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center and has been a focal point of Chicago’s museum network ever since. Though the museum has been housed on many-a-Chicago street, it’s current location in the heart of the West Loop makes this heritage center an easy stop for both city residents and guests. With the city’s large Greek community, The National Hellenic Museum’s mission is to “connect generations through Greek history, culture, and art.” The museum boasts a massive collection of artifacts and art, stemming back hundreds of years.
