West Loop Art Fest Returns to Fulton Market
A favorite family-friendly event returns to one of Chicago’s hippest neighborhoods! September 16-17, you can pretend it’s still summer and hit the streets for the West Loop Art Fest.
Six blocks of artists’ tents will take over the area near the intersection of West Racine Avenue and West Fulton Street. The festival opens at 10am and closes at 7pm each day, with plenty of art, food and live music to keep you entertained all day. This year, 167 artists from all over the country plan to exhibit and sell their creations. Whether you’re looking for a painting to hang on your living room wall or a unique piece of jewelry to wear, you’ll find it at the West Loop Art Fest. The attending artists work in a variety of mediums, so there is almost certain to be something for everyone.
If you’re not in the market for some new art at the moment, there’s still plenty to do. Interactive art tents give you the chance to create, too. Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate in making their own art. A full lineup of live music and entertainment is coming soon, and food vendors will have delicious eats available. All together, it makes for what is sure to be a weekend jam-packed with fun for the whole family.
The suggested entry donation is $10. For updates, make sure to subscribe to the festival email list or follow the event on Facebook.
