Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding returns to Chicago on September 22
Hope you’ve got your invite ‘cause Tony and Tina are getting hitched again! Playing for an incredible 16 years in Chicago in the 1980s and 90s, this hilarious wedding extravaganza is destined to delight a whole new generation of fans. Showcasing the truly interactive nature of this original off-Broadway hit, it promises to be the hottest ticket in town.
Presented by the original New York producers in conjunction with Chicago Theater Works, Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding returns to the Windy City from September 22 through December 30 only.
This time around, the Italian-American theatre/dinner wedding will take place at a real church. The ceremony will start at Resurrection Church at 3309 North Seminary Avenue. Then it’s time to party! A complete Italian-style meal and reception will follow immediately just one block away at Vinnie Black’s Coliseum (Chicago Theater Works) at 1113 West Belmont Avenue, in the heart of the Belmont Theatre District.
Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is an all-inclusive night of entertainment presented with the 1980s throwback feel of the original NYC production. Make the evening even more fun by wearing your favorite 1980s outfits as you hit the dance floor to those big 80s hits.
Directed by Paul Stroili, a cast member in the original Chicago production, Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is a hilariously interactive production guaranteed to make guests feel like they’re at a real wedding, along with 23 of Tony n’ Tina’s closest family and friends. Hint: With audience participation, each production is always a little different than the last!
