About The Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Housed in the symphony center on Michigan Avenue, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1891. The center of Chicago’s classical music scene, the CSO is a veritable powerhouse in its own right, but is often accompanied by some of the world’s most talented soloists, recording artists and conductors. Offering concerts, lessons and other events, CSO plays regularly at their venue downtown as well as at the Ravinia Center out in the suburbs, making this musical attraction one of the most accessible in the Chicagoland area.
