About The Willis Tower
Known to residents as the Sears Tower, the Willis Tower is the crown jewel of the Chicago skyline. Towering 1,450 above the ground (not including the antennae), the Willis Tower was the tallest building in the world at its completion in 1973. Housing over 100 businesses and organizations, perhaps the most famous feature of this colossal structure is the Skydeck, which allows visitors to step out over the city’s downtown on glass observation decks. A true Chicago icon, the Willis Tower is prominently displayed in nearly every movie, TV show and yes, T-shirt, focused on our great city, and continues to draw enormous crowds of both visitors and locals to this day.
