About Millennium Park
Opened in the summer of 2004, Millennium Park is a sprawling public space located on the city’s cultural mile. Featuring a large venue space, green walking routes and a number of public art pieces, this newest addition to Chicago’s main park spaces is second only to Navy Pier in visitations per year. Perhaps the most prominent installation at the park is Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) an enormous mirrored sculpture erected in 2006.
