About The Annoyance Theatre
One of the most successful comedy clubs in Chicago, the Annoyance Theatre is located on Belmont Avenue. Founded in 1987 and formerly based in Uptown, they moved to their Boystown location in 2013. The Annoyance Theater has put on over 250 original shows in their history including sketches, full-length plays, musicals, and comedies. It has a talented ensemble of local comedians, and many alumni have gone on to appear in films and television series. Their Belmont Avenue location includes two theater spaces and is available for private events. It offers classes for aspiring comics and hosts a wide variety of shows weekly.
