About The 606
The 606 is 2.7 mile swath of green parkway that stretches across Chicago’s northwest side. Taking its name from the first three numbers in every Chicago zip-code, this public space provides events, shows, a bike trail and more to residents from across the city. Once the Bloomingdale train line, The 606 officially opened in 2013, culminating in a large park in Logan Square. As this open-air space continues to grow, operators hope that The 606 can bring both history and fun to reviving Chicago communities.
