About Studio 71
Located near 71st Street and Jeffery Boulevard, Studio 71 is an art gallery located in South Shore. It was opened in 2005 by artist Benyamin Maccabee and features collaborations with a wide range of Chicago artists. Many of the pieces focus on the Chicago skyline and vibrant floral patterns. Most of the gallery’s collection is done by Maccabee, a lifelong artist who earned a full-ride scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago in 1979. In addition to showcasing professional artwork, Studio 71 also offers portraits, lithographs, custom framing, and more. It is one of the South Side’s most popular art galleries.
