Chicago Star Wars geeks are ecstatic for the return of Star Wars Night at The Whistler on Thursday, May 4. The event is on May the 4th, like… “May the force be with you“… Get it?
The Whistler, a craft cocktail bar in Logan Square, will transform into Tatooine’s Mos Eisley Cantina for the Thursday night event. What a perfect way to celebrate the unofficial Star Wars holiday! You won’t even have to travel to a faraway galaxy.
If you’re interested in attending the event, you can expect Star Wars-themed cocktails and live music modeled after the cantina band from Episode IV. The Cantina house band will be none other than Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes, played by local musicians. There will also be a return of the popular “Blue Milk” drink, a signature Tatooine concoction. The event is from 6pm – 2am and guests are expected to dress in their best intergalactic attire. Even the bartenders will be dressed for the occasion!
If you attended the event last year, you might remember the intense three-hour lines to get in. Event organizers are expecting the same turnout for this year’s event, especially since there’s no cover charge to attend. If you’re a big fan of Star Wars and cocktails, start lining up now.
