Opened in 2015 about a mile west of Wrigley Field, Kerry Wood Cubs Field is a baseball diamond located near Addison Street and Western Avenue. Built at a cost of $5 million, it was funded by the Wood Family Foundation, Chicago Cubs Charities, Chicago Park District, and others. It often hosts high school playoff games, as it is one of the only fields on the north side that meets IHSA regulations. Kerry Wood Cubs Field is open to the public and frequently hosts rec leagues. Located between Lane Tech High School and DeVry University, the 1,250-seat stadium has proven to be a valuable addition to Roscoe Village.
