About Bluelight
One of the north side’s premier late-night spots, BlueLight is a dive bar located on Western Avenue. First opening in the 1970s, it reopened in 2006 and has become one of Roscoe Village’s most popular 4 AM bars. Often drawing a rowdy crowd after most of the city’s bars close, Bluelight has earned a somewhat notorious reputation. Its menu includes several specialty cocktails as well as a diverse selection of draft and bottled beers. Bluelight doesn’t serve food, but it’s common to order delivery and eat at the bar. Conveniently located near the Kennedy Expressway, Bluelight has become a staple of Roscoe Village.
