Palmisano Nature Park

About Palmisano Nature Park

Henry C. Palmisano Nature Park is a huge public park in Bridgeport located at the former site of Stearns Quarry. Opened in 2009, Palmisano Park features 1.7 miles of pathways across nearly 27 acres of land. One of its most distinctive features is a 33-foot hill that offers breathtaking views of the city. Visitors can enjoy a wetland area with walking trails, bird watching among the site’s vast range of native plants, and a massive open meadow for kite flying. There’s also a retention pond where catch-and-release fishing is allowed. Palmisano Park offers a calming, nature-filled escape at a historic Chicago location.
