If you have, great! If you haven’t, let’s start by filling you in. Alltop is basically an online magazine rack for your favorite topics. They have pretty much everything. And I mean everything.
It’s a personalized article aggregator from major websites around the world. Basically, all the big dogs are on it, and sites like ours dream of making it big on Alltop. Well, our dreams have come true, and we’re happy to announce that we’ve officially been called up to the big leagues!
Alltop covers even more topics than those old relatives you haven’t seen in a while. These include the latest from technology, travel, food, news, sports, stocks, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Users can easily browse the topics they want while adding their preferred sites to their MyAlltop page. This allows you to keep the sites you want in your feed without being bothered by all the chaos. The site itself gets more than 40k hits per day, so we’re pretty darned psyched to be a part of their network.
You can check us out on the Chicago.Alltop.com page. As the new kid on the block, you’ll have to scroll to the bottom to see us. We don’t really mind taking a back seat to some of the other great Chicago sites on the page though. All the usual big players have their names up near the top: NBC, CBS, ABC, Chicagoist, Chicago Tribune, etc. It’s a pretty great place to see live feeds from our beloved Chicago sports teams too.
