About Monk's Pub
This old-school watering hole in the Loop may be simple, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a damn good time. Named after a monastery visited by the owner when he was a kid, the pub first opened it’s doors in 1978, making it one of the oldest bars still in operation throughout the city. In addition to brews and spirits, Monk’s also offers wildly indulgent burgers, piping hot fries and, yes, peanuts you can throw on the ground.
