The most anticipated time of the year is among us – music festival season! While some have no issue dropping their whole paycheck on a three-day rave and $10 beers, others may be looking for a more affordable way to spend their weekends.
The best of both worlds is coming back to New York this summer for the 20th season of the Warm Up Music Series at MoMA PS1. Emerging and established artists from a wide variety of genres gather in the heart of Queens every Saturday at 3pm – 9pm from July 1 – September 2. The 10-week program allows listeners to enjoy music in the courtyard of MoMA, as well as exhibits in the museum itself.
Warm Up has served as a creative platform for artists to experiment and collaborate, while providing a unique experience for the audience to discover new music. The weekly outdoor music festival will host a wide variety of artists including A$AP Ferg, MikeQ, and Lotic. The lineup for each weekend is already posted on the MoMA website but additional artists will be announced throughout summer 2017. Advanced admission tickets are $18 for general, $16 for MoMA Members, and $13 for MoMA PS1+ Members. Day-of tickets are $22 for general, $18 for students with valid ID, $20 for MoMA Members, and $15 for MoMA PS1+ Members.
