Lollapalooza 2016 Lineup Released

Lollapalooza made huge waves last December when they announced the longtime festival would be moving to a four-day schedule.

It’s huge news to be sure, but if you don’t like who’s playing, there isn’t much reason to spend a fourth day hanging around the muddy jumble that was once Grant Park.

We may just be in business though, as Lollapalooza has released the lineup for its 25th anniversary.

It’s an exciting projected lineup to be sure. 2016 will mark a record fourth headlining appearance for the Red Hot Chili Peppers – dating all the way back to the second-ever Lolla in 1992. The band is expected to release a new album in the coming months.

Radiohead’s return makes for their second headlining appearance. The band’s ninth studio album is fast approaching, and it should be released by the time the festival begins.

LCD Soundsystem has played Lolla before, but this will be their first time headlining. The band is expected to perform at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and bunch of other festivals as well. Their reunion tour is gonna be a busy year, and they’re supposed to have new music in the vault as well.

While J. Cole may not have the record sales to compare to the above-mentioned acts, he’s widely respected by his peers as one of the best lyricists in present-day hip-hop.
