Chicago-based Half Acre Beer Company was founded in 2006 and opened its first location on Lincoln Avenue shortly after. Their Lincoln Square building includes a taproom, kitchen, and gift shop, and it was previously named one of the city’s best bars by Chicago Magazine. Half Acre brews five beers year-round and offers a rotating selection of seasonal and specialty beers. Their most famous products include Daisy Cutter, Pony Pilsner, and Tome. A second brewery on Balmoral Avenue opened in 2015, and both are popular venues for parties and special events. Half Acre Beer Company has become a staple of Lincoln Square and is a must-visit for beer lovers.
