About Welles Park

Located at Lincoln and Montrose Avenues, Welles Park is one of Lincoln Square’s top outdoor gathering places. It features a fitness center with an indoor pool as well as an outdoor recreational area with baseball diamonds, tennis courts, outdoor seating areas, horseshoe pits, and a playground and a football/soccer field. The park dates back to 1910 and the original fieldhouse was the first home of the Harlem Globetrotters. Today, Welles Park offers activities like soccer, floor hockey, tumbling, arts and crafts, swimming, and more. Featuring nearly 16 acres of land, Welles Park is a popular destination for both families and individuals.
