About Giddings Plaza
Located along a historic stretch of Lincoln Avenue between Lawrence and Leland avenues, Giddings Plaza is a community area in the heart of Lincoln Square. It features a fountain, murals, statues, and locally-owned shops in a pedestrian-friendly area. Giddings Plaza hosts an annual summer concert series featuring Chicago musicians as well as other festivals and sidewalk fairs like German American Fest, Square Roots Music Festival, and Apple Fest. It features one of the area’s largest Christmas trees during the holidays and has been a popular destination for Chicagoans for several decades. Lincoln Square’s most iconic area is undoubtedly Giddings Plaza and Lincoln Avenue.
