Lady Antebellum Rocks Successful Ravinia Debut

It was the perfect night under the stars at Ravinia as Lady Antebellum took to the stage, wowing throngs of fans with a solid performance of their past hits and new music from their soon-to-be-released CD. “What If I Never Get Over You” is now streaming as the first single.

Through their decade-long career, Lady Antebellum has been recognized for the deeply soulful lyrics and the blended harmonies of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood, who remarked that the first time he saw Scott sing in a Nashville bar, he told her, “You’re really good.” A short time later, they started writing songs together and the rest, they say, is history.

This country music trio has racked up record-breaking success with nine No. One hits and earned ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row and countless other awards, including Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.

Scott delighted the audience talking about her 18-month-old twins with their images displayed in the background. Brave Dave Haywood ran out into the lawn to greet the fans, absolutely amazed by the huge crowd he saw as the group’s setlist included, “Bartender,” Just a Kiss,” “Love Don’t Live Here,” and “Downtown.”

He commented, “This looks like a nice neighborhood. Let’s wake ‘em up,” as the crowd roared with cheers. The group encored with “Need You Now” and everyone was up on their feet!
