After a long hiatus, a Krispy Kreme store will open in Chicago on Tuesday, January 10
Back in August, we shared an article announcing that Krispy Kreme would be returning to Chicago with not one, not two, but EIGHT locations! Today, an official opening date of Tuesday, January 10 was finally announced.
The store will be located at 17815 South Halsted Street in the south Chicago suburb Homewood, and after much anticipation, it’ll surely be a hit. Development company Chicago Restaurants, LLC has led the operation.
To celebrate the event, the store will have an overnight preview opening on Monday, January 9. That evening, customers who want to line up at the store overnight can wait in a heated tent. The first 100 people who get there first will win some tasty prizes! The first dozen people to line up will win one dozen free Original Glazed® donuts every week for a year. Customers 13 to 100 will win one dozen free Original Glazed® donuts every month for a year. Sounds pretty worth it to us!
The store will open to everyone else at 7:30am, welcomed by the Homewood-Flossmoor High School marching band. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 8am.
Krispy Kreme has also refined their menu in order to adapt to today’s demand for fresh and natural ingredients. Of course, their signature doughy, glazed donut will never disappear.
Don’t miss your chance to win never-ending donuts this January at the Krispy Kreme in Homewood, and stay tuned for news on more Krispy Kreme locations in Chicagoland.
