About Jeffery's Pub
One of Chicago’s oldest gay bars, Jeffery Pub is a bar/club located near Lake Shore Drive and 71st Street. It opened in the 1960s and has been a predominantly gay bar for most of its history. It is a staple of the South Side and is one of the best LGBTQ+ communities outside of Boystown. Jeffery Pub draws a diverse crowd and commonly has live performances with a packed dance floor playing hip-hop, R&B, and house music. Expect late nights with pitchers of popular cocktails, as Jeffery Pub is open until 4 AM or later.
