About Gallery Cabaret
Offering live entertainment seven nights a week, Gallery Cabaret has been a Bucktown staple since its opening in 1988. It hosts both musical performances and open-mic nights in its theater area. The drink menu includes over a dozen beers on tap as well as bottled beers, wines, and spirits, and Gallery Cabaret never has a cover at the door. Artists like Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair performed at Gallery Cabaret early in their careers, and it continues to host a wide range of eclectic performers. Located at Oakley and McLean Avenues, the bar has a comfortable, lowkey atmosphere. Popular for several decades, it is a favorite of Bucktown residents.
