The Art Institute of Chicago
Feeling artsy? If you missed the series of free museum days this past winter, here’s your second chance to experience a free night of art. Every Thursday from 5-8 p.m., Illinois residents get free admission to the Art Institute of Chicago. One of their exclusive exhibits is “Van Gogh’s Bedrooms“, which features the very famous three-part series of paintings of Van’s Gogh’s room. You can also visit the reopened contemporary art collection, featuring 44 pieces from Pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jasper Johns. Check out the other exhibits here.

Advanced Screening of KEANU
Free movie night – what could be better?
“Keanu”, starring Comedy Central’s Key & Peele, tells the story of a kitten that gives company to the recently single Rell after randomly appearing at his doorstep. Keanu (the cat) gets kidnapped, and Rell and his cousin Clarence can only save the cat if they agree to work for the thief. Here’s the hilarious trailer.

Lincoln Lodge

Jurassic Park Series
In the mood for a throwback? Check out the classic film, “Jurassic Park”, for free at the Patio Theater. It’s better than lounging with Netflix in your jammies on a Saturday night, right?

Maxwell Street Market
We’ve listed plenty of entertainment, but we know you’ve been wondering when the food’s going to come in, right?
Every Sunday, The historic Maxwell Street Market offers everything from fresh produce to authentic Mexican and Latin street food. Outside of food, you can find furniture, clothing, and collectibles at a bargain. Lastly, Maxwell Street Market will start featuring live music, DJ sets, and more on May 1. Here’s the DJ list.
