According to Eater Chicago, DMK Restaurants is teaming up with the Merchandise Mart to create an all-new restaurant that offers delicious food and drink while facilitating productivity amongst local professionals.

Marshall’s Landing, a name that’s in reference to Chicago’s historic department store Marshall Field’s, is slated to open this June. The second-floor, 250-seat restaurant aims to attract people looking for a place to work on their laptops and groups of professionals seeking a comfortable place to meet. With this in mind, the restaurant’s tables have been built with service call buttons so that servers only arrive to help tables when they are needed.

The new river-facing restaurant will also include a coffee counter offering flavors from a variety of roasters and a craft beer bar with a burger and small plates menu. Being in partnership with DMK Restaurants, the creators of popular local establishments like Ada Street, DMK Burger Bar, and Fish Bar, means that the food is sure to be great.

Additionally, the Merch Mart plans to start hosting movie nights, for which they’re also recruiting DMK Restaurants to create unique food and drink pairings for each film. The film screenings will take place near the Grand Stair on the first and second floors.

The Merch Mart has quite a bit in store in the realm of leisure and entertainment, such as moving forward with its Lighting Framework Plan, an upcoming visual display projection across the entire expansive of the Mart’s riverfront side. Other recent projects under DMK Restaurants include the recent opening of Werewolf Coffee Bar in Bucktown and an upcoming undisclosed establishment in River North.
