As an official partner of the Special Olympics, the Color In Motion 5k Chicago is the perfect mesh of a fun and charitable workout! With it being on Montrose Beach, this run will be sure to be one of the best summer events you’ll do all season!
During this unique 5k experience, you can brighten up your run by being completed covered in colors throughout the race! No worries, the colors are completely safe. They’re just a combination of cornstarch and food dye. They wash off clothes easily and though it’s non-toxic, we don’t recommend that you eat it. The Color In Motion 5k really does care about your health, as they’ve got pretty cool vision and missions too:
Positively impact the lives of millions of people by providing opportunities for movement.
- For Physical Movement – To improve health
- For Social Movement – To build strong relationships with family and friends.
- For Community Movement – To increase charitable giving and volunteerism to benefit local charities
- For Economic Movement – To build events which provide local businesses an opportunity to reach and engage thousands of potential customers
You can volunteer for multiple positions for the event, from “Color Captain” to “Traffic Control”.
Also, if you’re looking for an awesome opportunity to work and travel around the country, you can join the Color In Motion team as an “Event Ninja”.

Cool Idea: After seeing all the colorful shirts, you’re probably wondering how to keep the colors on the shirt as a souvenir, right? You can soak the shirt in vinegar, then iron it. Ta da!
