Ain’t no party like a Christmas party
For charity, for networking, or just for plain old fun, there are a bunch of holiday parties that are being held at the hottest bars, clubs, and lounges in town. Here are our picks for the best ones.
HPSI Christmas Party
The Hellenic Professional Society of Illinois will be hosting a celebration with food and drinks as well as a Toys for Tots drive in the spirit of the giving season. The party will be held at Sociale Chicago, 800 South Clark Street, on Thursday, December 15 at 7pm.
Holidaze Throwback Ornament Party
Hosted by the Chicago Sport & Social Club, come celebrate the holidays at a lively sports bar where participants will have the opportunity to create their own Christmas ornaments. It’s the perfect gift for your parents this holiday season. The celebration ticket includes ornament crafts, a Polaroid photo, and one free drink. In addition to drink specials, there will be giveaways at the end of the night. The event takes place Thursday, December 8 at Benchmark, 1510 North Wells Street.
Latkepalooza 2016
Spend this Christmas Eve at local hotspot, Underground, 56 West Illinois Street. The first two hours consist of a private cocktail, latke, and dessert reception. All night, they will have surprise guest DJs, and have both the lounge and the dance club open until 5am. Early bird tickets are available for only $10.
HNC Christmas Party
At the Showroom event venue on Saturday, December 10, Holy Name Cathedral Young Adults will host a Christmas celebration. Tickets cost $30 and include food and drinks, which consists of beer, wine, and soda. Prices will go up December 9, so act now if you are interested in this sure-to-be-fun event. The Showroom is located at 670 West Hubbard Street.
CRISP Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
For the animal lovers out there, an ugly Christmas sweater party hosted by Chicagoland Rescue Intervention & Support Program might be the one for you. You can support the organization by buying a ticket for December 15 at the Lincoln Tap Room, 3010 North Lincoln Avenue, for $28, which includes unlimited wine, beer, and appetizers. The party runs from 7pm to 10pm.
Art of Christmas 2016 Holiday Party
The Leading Ladies of Chicago, which hosts events for female entrepreneurs, are hosting a holiday party on Sunday, December 18 at Vermilion, 10 West Hubbard Street. It is the perfect place to network with business owners and to celebrate a successful year. There will be a cash bar, hors d’oeuvres, sweets, a live DJ, and giveaways. This event runs from 5pm – 9pm and admission is free.
Christmas & New Year’s Eve Penthouse Fashion Party
The dress code at this fashion-forward penthouse party is “dress to impress.” The venue is the exclusive Penthouse, 111 West Jackson Boulevard. The December 23 event will include two runway shows, a cash giveaway to the most “fashion savvy” outfit of the evening, and a charitable donation to Toys for Tots from event proceeds. Chicago Santa Crawl
The Chicago Santa Crawl will tour River North’s best bars, potentially including Old Crow, Moe’s Cantina, El Hefe, Bar Louie, Joy District, Hubbard Inn and Mercer 113, with bars subject to change. The all-day event taking place Saturday, December 17 will include a t-shirt, Santa hat, a breakfast buffet, and gift cards to use on the crawl. This event runs from 10am to 6pm and early bird tickets are currently on sale for $13.
CHPN 2016 Holiday Celebration
Participating organizations for Chicago’s Hispanic Professional Network will come together at River North’s contemporary lounge, Shay, located at 222 West Ontario Street. Come to mingle, dance, enjoy drinks and eat appetizers on Friday, December 16 from 6pm to 10pm. Tickets are currently on sale for $20.
Chicago Holiday Social and Toy Drive
A night of networking and charity will be held Thursday, December 15 at The Godfrey Hotel, 127 West Huron at LaSalle. In addition to a menu tasting, cocktail party, and champagne toast, they will also be collecting toys for the needy. This event runs from 5:30pm to 10pm and tickets are currently on sale and although ticket prices vary depending on level of participation, standard tickets are on sale for $15.
