New NBA Experience – Hoop Dreams in Disney Springs
This is a two-story basketball mecca and it’s a slam dunk for fans! With 13 challenging activities, your basketball skills will be put to the test as you dribble, shoot, dunk and score and work up a sweat! Cool down by checking out all of the exhibits and statistics of NBA superstars, play arcade-type hoop games or judge the ref’s rulings on video. Did they make the right call? You decide. Chicago fans will see plenty of Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan action. Take a tip: arrive early or later in the day to avoid the lines at this very popular venue. Hey, you’re in Disney Springs, so there’s lot of bars and restaurants to hang out in. Plus, with your magic band or sign in, Disney will store all of your action-packed fun photos in one place.
It’s Always Island Time at Margaritaville
Recently opened in Kissimmee, Margaritaville is a laid-back, casual resort that instantly transports you to a vacation state of mind. You’ll know where you are by the giant flip flop that greets you in the lobby. Choose from a variety of accommodations for all your BFFs — guest rooms to suites to cottages. Enjoy four distinctive dining venues, lagoon-style pools, spa and more. Check out Sunset Walk, the resort’s dining, shopping and entertainment village where you can dine at Ford’s Garage (really fabulous). There’s a new Estefan Kitchen, yes Emilio and Gloria’s uber-cool restaurant, their first outside of Miami. New Coasters Debut at SeaWorld
Discover the wonders beneath the sea at SeaWorld, where the aquatic world comes alive with up-close animal experiences, exciting entertainment, and roller coasters. Thrill riders will want to try the popular Infinity Falls raft ride while coaster freaks will be happy discover the soon-to-be-launched “Ice Breakers” which features the steepest vertical drop with four launches, backwards and forwards. For additional excitement, SeaWorld’s water park, Aquatica, is adding a dueling water slide called Riptide Race.
Walk on the Wild Side — Wild Florida and Drive-Thru Safari
Take a break from the attractions and head out to Wild Florida. Explore three way-cool experiences – an airboat ride, gator park, and a drive-thru Safari Park. Hop on an airboat for a wild ride through Lake Cypress and scout out alligators, bald eagles, and other wildlife. Don’t be surprised if you spot cows grazing in the short grass. Captain John called them “Florida Sea Cows”… ha ha! (Reservations are required for the airboat tours.) Get up close and personal with gators and crocs in the Gator Park as well as exotic birds in the Walk-in Bird Aviary. Then head to the 85-acre Drive-Thru Safari Park where you slowly drive through the habitat and see exotic and native animals like zebras, bison, antelope, and sheep, all from the comfort of your car. Here’s your chance to feed a giraffe — hint: they like romaine lettuce!
The Magic Continues at DisneyWorld
There’s lots of buzz around the new Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Like other Star Wars fans, you can engage in all of the interactive action and feel like you’ve landed in Planet Batu. Tip: sign up as early as you can to ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. Everyone on the ride gets a job – like pilot, shooter, engineer and you feel like you’re really riding in a Star Wars movie. Rise of the Resistance is the second ride in Galaxy’s Edge and takes you on a thrilling adventure like you’ve never experienced before. Fly high in the brand-new Disney Skyliner gondolas which connect four Disney resort hotels with two of the theme parks: Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
