Chicago Technology Company Advertises in Big Game for the First Time

Chicago-based Guaranteed Rate will air a commercial during CBS’s broadcast of the Super Bowl on February 7, 2016.

The 30-second spot will feature the company’s spokesperson, home improvement celebrity Ty Pennington (former host of Extreme Home Makeover), and will focus on how easy it is for customers to use Guaranteed Rate’s Digital Mortgage to find a low rate mortgage online.

The commercial will air regionally in four markets: Chicago, Boston, Tampa, and Salt Lake City. The day after the big game, the spot will air nationwide.

Guaranteed Rate’s corporate offices are in Chicago’s Ravenswood and River North neighborhoods. The company has approximately 175 branch offices nationwide, and is the eighth largest retail mortgage lender in the country.

The company has been working with Ty Pennington since 2013. He has starred in several of Guaranteed Rate’s commercials, bringing attention to the company’s Digital Mortgage that allows homebuyers to get approved for a low-rate mortgage online in less than 30 minutes. However, this is the celebrity host’s first Super Bowl spot.
