Wiggle-N-Strum: for Grownups Ready to Strum! Toddler Music Class
Grown-ups, it’s time to join your children’s musical play and strike up the family band! Parents and caregivers will learn to play the baritone ukulele at this toddler music class while their little one engages in the music-making with percussion instruments, singing, a musical activity, or strumming along. Structured like a Wiggleworms class, this 45 minute toddler music class at the Old Town School of Folk Music teaches grownups to play baritone ukulele. Through this music class for kids, you’ll collect a variety of tunes to share before bed, around the campfire, at your child’s preschool, and beyond! For little ones who LOVE guitar, this is an amazing opportunity for parents to model how to care for and learn to play an instrument. Little ones are encouraged to bring along their own ukuleles to strum and we’ll have more we can share!
The baritone ukulele is a wonderfully accessible instrument to have in the home—and a perfect place to begin your musical journey on a stringed instrument. The baritone chords translate directly to the 6-string guitar. You will leave the first class playing a song and throughout the class you will grow the list of joyful songs you can share with your family and friends.
