Chicago: City in Motion

Amidst the cold, frozen tundra of Chicago’s winters, it can be easy to forget the incomparable beauty of the city. Luckily for us, Drone Media Chicago has captured it in their newest video: City in Motion.

The two-and-a-half-minute clip features breathtaking aerial shots of the Maggie Daley Park ice skating ribbon, a frozen Lake Michigan, and daily Chicago life accompanied by beautiful musical theme.

“I made the video in an attempt to showcase the different elements of Chicago in winter while capturing the hustle and bustle of city life”, said Troy Walsh of Drone Media Chicago. “It’s easy to get bummed out around this time of year especially with the frigid cold and gloomy days. I wanted to remind people that the city can still be beautiful while presenting it in a unique and intimate way.”

The video certainly fulfills its goal perfectly, as it captures the beauty of Chicago’s chillier days without making anything seem too surreal.

“Although winter can sometimes feel like a never-ending state, it’s also one of the most beautiful times of the year in Chicago for me,” said Walsh.

He’s right, it’s gorgeous.
