Well, have no fear, as you can have as much fun in the city you actually live in without breaking the bank on airfare or a pricey hotel room. Chicago has been ranked number two in best cities for staycations this year, according to a study by WalletHub.
Orlando, San Diego, and Seattle also ranked at the top of the list, as they are prime locations for everything from amusement parks to museums and, of course, water sports. Other factors that were analyzed in this study were recreation, food and entertainment, and rest and relaxation. Of those three factors, Chicago ranked at number one for recreation, number eleven for food and entertainment, and number ten for rest and relaxation. According to the study, the data was collected across 150 different cities in the U.S., which considered everything from movie and bowling costs, to spas and wellness centers per capita to cost of house-cleaning services.
