Believe it or not, Chicago breeds some pretty famous faces. Here are five big celebrities in or from Chicago we can be proud to see on the red carpet or on TV screens.
Kanye West
The popular and somewhat controversial hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, entrepreneur, and fashion designer is from Chicago. His outspoken views and his conduct at award shows have given him a bad rep, but he relates it all back to the result of fame. Kanye attended Polaris High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Even though he has had his fair share of criticism from the media lately, we still think he’s a hottie.
Sophia Bush
One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush currently plays Erin Lindsay, Detective on NBC’s Chicago P.D. They shoot ten months out of the year, so you could say she pretty much lives in Chicago. When asked where her favorite spot is in an interview with Bloomberg, she said Wicker Park. “There are a lot of great vintage and record stores. And some of the best restaurants in the city, like Antique Taco on Milwaukee, which is a great walking street.”
Kristin Cavallari
The former reality star, now shoe designer moved to Chicago four years ago to support her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Although, she has said that living in Chicago has been a sacrifice for her career and has stated that “Chicago’s just not home,” we still think she’s hot.
Taylor Kinney
Taylor Kinney A.K.A Lieutenant Kelly Severide from NBC’s “Chicago Fire” is SUPER HOT. Not only is he part of a show that has led the way for future TV productions in the city, he also LOVES living here. In an interview with Steve Harvey, Kinney told a story about how he drove two hours to Chicago after an event in Champaign because he missed his home. Take THAT, Kristen Cavallari!
Jenny McCarthy
Jenny McCarthy currently lives in St. Charles, Illinois with her husband Donnie Wahlberg and they’re proud to live the “perfect little suburban life.” Jenny is obviously a big fan of Chicago, seeing as she also grew up in Evergreen Park, a suburb of Chicago. Last year, A&E network cameras were documenting the couple’s lives in St. Charles for their reality show “Donnie loves Jenny.” We love Jenny too!
