About Blue Box Cafe
This Doctor Who-themed mainstay in the heart of downtown Elgin is a total hidden gem. Located just off Chicago Street, Blue Box Cafe is a tiny corner cafe that features all kinds of memorabilia from the famous, long-running British television series. The only indication of its theme from the outside is their Tardis logo on the awning, but you’d otherwise pass right by, assuming it was just another coffee shop. But no, this place is entirely unique, featuring police box-blue walls and drink specials like the Rose Tyler, the Weeping Angel, and the Last Cinn-turion (made with cinnamon, obviously). Even if you’re not a Doctor Who fan, this place serves delicious Metropolis Coffee, Rishi Tea, and plenty of cafe bites to hold you over.
