About Bernice's Tavern
One of the oldest bars in Bridgeport, Bernice’s Tavern is a family-owned pub located on Halsted Street near Guaranteed Rate Field. Bernice’s dates back to the 1950s and has the intimate vibe of a local watering hole. In addition to being one of the area’s most welcoming bars, it is also an entertaining music venue. The tavern hosts an open mic night for musicians every Thursday, and local bands can often be found performing on the weekends. Famous for their annual Halloween party, Bernice’s is also known for bingo and karaoke nights. The interior is decorated with antiques like an old CTA fare machine, vintage instruments, and prohibition-era paintings. Bernice’s Tavern is open six days a week and has cheap drink specials daily.
