March 31, 2026 | loanDepot Park, Miami, FL | 5:40 PM ET | NBC Sports Chicago
The Chicago White Sox (hopefully 1-3 after finally winning yesterday) face the Miami Marlins (79–83 last year) in Game 2 of the series at loanDepot Park tonight, and we need to build on yesterday’s win. They lost 83 games last year. We lost 99. Both teams are bad, but we should be able to compete with them.
The Marlins have Jazz Chisholm Jr.—an energetic, flashy player with talent. Eury Pérez is a young pitcher with ace potential when healthy. They’re young, competitive, and hoping to climb back into contention at home.
We have Colson Montgomery at shortstop. Drew Thorpe on the mound. Luis Robert Jr. trying to stay healthy. If we won yesterday (hopefully), we’re 1-3 and trying to get to .500 against a team we should compete with.
For White Sox fans, this is Game 2—a chance to win the series against a team that’s not much better than we are.
