Come June 18th, Texas Black-owned food trucks will come together on the campus of Huston-Tillotson in the heart of East Austin for a celebration of African-American food, community, culture, and heritage at this year’s Soul Food Truck Fest. It was created to unite the community around the African American soul food experience and seeks to nurture the mind, body, and spirit of those in attendance and encourage individuals to live healthy and sustainable lifestyles.

Food Vendors
Enjoy your Saturday at the Soul Food Truck Fest and celebrate Juneteenth with delicious food from Roland’s Soul Food Cupcakes, Octavia’s Buz Hut, Fat Ho Burger, HurryBack Catering To Geaux, South African Food Affair, Ike N Aves, Bus Stop Cafe, Saucy Nosh, Da1StopShop, Sweeter Than Sour, Freedman Eats, and Cranky Granny’s. And dont forget to stop by the Health & Wellness Hub to experience a live cooking demo with Jenn rodriguez, Carmen Friday, and Martin Eason.
Musical Guests
While you’re making rounds from food truck to food truck at the Soul Food Truck Fest, don’t forget to stop by and listen to live performances by THE TON3S, Anastasia Hera & The Heroes, Polo Da Vibe, Eimaral Sol, DSAA, and Infinity Jones & The Cosmic Frost. You can also catch fresh spins by DJ Melissa Bellz hosted by Miles Bloxson and Mia Nicole.
Fun & Games
In addition to the slew of food trucks and musical performances, get your game on at the Olympic Games, hosted by Mack, Michael, and Lomax, or test your love for your partner at the Black Love Lounge. Participate in relationship games, and dating & relationship conversations. And if you’re there with the kiddos, there are plenty of activities for them too. Head over to Kidtopia and enjoy a game of Jenga, Cornhole, and Connect 4, or join them in the bounce house, face painting, or the video game truck.

General Admission (Pre-sale) – $15 – 1 PM Entry
General Admission tickets get you admittance to Soul Food Truck Fest and enjoyment of 10+ food trucks, 30+ Black-owned vendors, live music, friends and family Olympics, and all additional festival activities, starting at 1 pm. Food and drinks must be purchased separately.
*Gen Adm Tickets will be $20 at the gate.
Judge’s Ticket – $40 – 11 AM Entry
The Judge’s Ticket includes:
- 11:00 AM early entry to the festival
- 2 drink tickets good for alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
- A chef-curated complimentary sample from all soul food trucks
- The opportunity to cast your vote for BEST AT THE FEST which includes a $1,000
- Cash Prize for the winning truck
