Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton Kick Off Outlaw Music Festival in Austin

OG Texan, unparalleled musician, and long-time stoner Willie Nelson is making his way back to Austin late this summer when The Outlaw Music Festival launches its 14-stop tour across America in Austin on August 22nd.

Headlined by the legendary, still-kickin-it-at-88 Willie Nelson (& Family), Outlaw Music Festival will showcase the likes of Chris Stapleton, Ryan Bingham, and Yola in Austin, where they’re kicking off the tour at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

The tour will hit 14 cities all over America from August through October, and feature a combination of big-name musical acts, like Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Gov’t Mule, Lucinda Williams, Margo Price, Kathleen Edwards, and Ida Mae.

After wowing the crowds in Austin, Outlaw Music Festival will make its way to Gilford, NH, Philadelphia, PA, Saratoga Springs, NY, Virginia Beach, VA, Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Alpharetta, GA, Columbia, MD, Phoenix, AZ, Irvine, CA, San Diego, CA, Mountain View, CA, and Wheatland, CA.

Outlaw Music Festival has been touring the United States since 2016, always bringing the best of folk, rock, and country to both big and up-and-coming cities across the nation. Though the annual tour did not take to American stages in 2020 in accordance with safety guidelines, you can best believe this year will make up for the respite. In true festival fashion, there will also be a number of local craft vendors selling their goods at the Outlaw Village, so make sure to stop in for merch and other accessories.

Catch the Outlaw Music Festival when it rolls into the Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin on August 22nd. Doors open at 4 pm and the show starts at 5 pm. Tickets are on sale now for floor reserved seating, lower bowl reserved seating, upper bowl reserved seating, and the HEB lawn general admission.
